Steve Melton on VAF designed this fuel drain valve fairing and sent me the file. The boys got a new printer last week so Matt is printing a couple of these!
Modified the flap hing so that the pins can be safety wired and secured. Also installed my brake pedals to the rudder pedals. Installed the aft canopy latch and cut the fuselage for the handle that activates the aft canopy latch.
Ailerons have been connected to the control sticks. Also fabricated the tank vent lines from the tank to fuselage and fuselage to the vent line discharge location.
Assembled the flap push rods.
The right wing had its flap installed tonight. It is now complete except for the fiberglass wingtips which will be installed much later in the build. Tonight it gets stored in the basement with the tail assembly!
Dad and Cheryl and I kicked ass on more wing skins! The right bottom skins is half riveted. The Garmin autopilot roll servo is also installed!
Thanks to Cheryl and my dad, the left wing bottom skins are riveted on. So impressive! This wing just needs it’s flap and it can be stored until installation on the fuselage!
Oh, and thanks to the family for tolerating me setting it up in the middle of our foyer where it’s warm!
