The canoe has been rolled!
I’ve decided to go with Abby and Flightline Interiors for my seats. She’s going to color match the Classic Aero side panels that I already own. I also received my seat heaters from Flyboyaccessories.com today.
Cheryl, Matt and Nick all helped make huge progress this weekend!
The canoe is almost completely riveted together.
Lots of work today, reassembled the fuselage. Tomorrow we rivet the canoe!
Tonight I did some more dimpling and deburring in an effort to be ready to rivet on Saturday and Sunday.
I also installed the ELT bracket. For those of you playing along, that’s the Emergency Locate Transmitter. It sends up a signal to satellites with your GPS coordinates and transmits a homing beacon if you crash.
The forward fuselage had been entirely disassembled, parts are all prepped for installation except for the skins. One longeron got countersunk tonight too.
Fitted and about to be removed…
Also fitted the forward floor stiffeners.
Next is the baggage area interior side panels.
Won’t be long and the entire forward compartment comes apart to be deburred and then riveted!
