My dad and I riveted together the interior ribs of the second tank. Next step is installing the vent lines.
A huge thanks to my father for helping me rivet the tank ribs into the right tank. There’s just some things you can’t do alone!
Fitted the ribs to the tank, hopefully for the last time. I masked the edges of the ribs. Next step is to install sealant and shoot rivets.
My father helped me install the last fuel cap and drain valve. I had to wait for a shipment of oops rivets from Oregon to proceed. Back into the swing of building!
Flew about 10 miles away from the airport, toured around lake country, and returned. Easy flight, but the first solo away from the airport! I grabbed a selfie when my instructor wasn’t looking! On a side note, I’m getting pretty confident about crosswind landings.
